Who pays for hospice care?
Hospice care is covered by Medicare (Hospice Medicare Benefit), Medicaid and most private insurance policies. For those without insurance, we offer a sliding scale. Thanks to our donors’ support, nobody has ever been turned away because they were unable to pay for hospice care. Typically the people services (e.g., nurse visits, etc.), prescription medication for the terminal illness, and medical equipment (e.g., oxygen, hospital bed, etc.) are all covered at 100%.
